For an oil change and power steering recall that apparently consisted of flashing firmware to two controllers and was really really really difficult...?
7:45am appointment, for which I was on time. I can’t wait for the satisfaction survey.

At least you will get a service discount for next time which you can use at the very same dealership!

What kind of car? I did a direct adaptive steering recall on an Infiniti that went sideways (weird low voltage detected) that took down the system and took me 3 days to straighten out... though after 1 hour I had them in a loaner and on their way. 6 hours? I would be livid. But that is me.

My last oil change on my Toyota, at a Toyota dealer, was a hair over 2 hours. I asked what took so long, they said they got slammed with work. 1) There was nobody there until after I got there, 2) I HAD AN APPOINTMENT.
Good help is hard to find

That’s bad. No loaners available? I put my car in the shop this week for an oil change and to get a lock switched out. Had a loaner immediately when I arrived for a job that was supposed to take less than 3 hrs but turned into 3 days due to part availability.

Lol now try being the tech. It happens. Not the techs fault.

Sounded like they had one, but someone had it out and hadn’t returned it.

2008 Mariner. I was told it involved updating both the power steering unit and the instrument cluster, and something about something “not acting right” during the update process. I don’t know, I tune out when you start to justify your technology problems with anthropomorphism.
